Description

Boats and current (drift) are two common factors associated with many dive sites. Sailors don't always (unfortunately) recognize that divers are in the area, and currents can carry you as a diver further than expected. If you set a surface marker buoy (DSMB), før du kommer op til overfladen, kan du advare andre om din placering forud for din opstigning.

You must be a PADI Open Water Diver who is at least 12 years old to enroll in the DSMB Diver course.

Marker buoys serve a number of purposes and you will learn about common types of DSMB along with the wheels used to control them. During the two training dives you train:

  1. Preparing and storing your DSMB and roll.
  2. Implementation of DSMB from a stationary position and from the middle of the water.
  3. Swimming while pulling a DSMB and controlling the reel and line.
  4. Perform a safety stop using the DSMB line.
