On the PADI Equipment Special Course, we look at the equipment you use as a diver. We look into the first and second steps and talk about how the mechanics work. We talk about O-rings, glues, lubricants, tools, how to patch your suit, how to change parts and how bottle valves work and why bottles need to be sent for inspections etc etc. This is the course for you who want to know why your equipment can do what it can, and how you can solve minor problems yourself at the dive site, and have an understanding of the technique behind your vital equipment.
What can we offer?
The equipment thesis takes place as theory in the store's theory room in a cozy atmosphere where there is time for your questions and we go through diving equipment, take it apart and put it back together. It is a practical course and is based on both e-learning and practical development with the instructor.
NB: This does NOT enable you to service either the bottle valve, 1st stage or 2nd stage.
Prerequisites for starting the course
– You must be a certified PADI (junior) Scuba Diver or equivalent
- You must be at least 10 years old
